Partners In Education Announces PIE Bowl 2017

Craven County Partners In Education announces the 19th Annual PIE Bowl on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Strike Zone. There will be an amazing show of support through both our sponsorship and attendance by educators and community leaders at this event.  The bowling times at 9:00 am (sold out), 11:00 am (call for availability), and 1:00 pm (available).

The School with the most teams entered wins the PIE Bowl Trophy, winning $200 and bragging rights for one year.  Last year Oaks Road Elementary and Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary walked away with that honor.

Also, there is an award for overall Best Bowlers.  Last year awards went to:  First Place:  H.J. MacDonald Middle – $200 – 1,177 pins; Second Place:  Tucker Creek Middle – Guacabowle – $150 – 1,024 pins; and Third Place:  New Bern High – $100 – 965 pins. There is a cash award of $300, $200, and $100, respectively.

There are also awards given for each time period (9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 1:00 pm) for Best Team Name, Best Team Spirit, and Best Team Costume.
